WCF Helping Care for the Orphans of Sudan

The war raging between the north and south of Sudan for the past 18 years has not only devastated the land, but also the lives of the people from the biggest country on the continent of Africa. More than 2 million have been killed and over 3 million driven from their homes.

The Sudan "Genocide" is a top humanitarian crisis.
The children have suffered the most — thousands have been orphaned… many were forced to watch as their parents were murdered.

Other children were separated from their mother and father during the chaos following a surprise attack on their village by marauders. As they frantically fled into the night to the sounds of gunshots and screaming, they never found their parents. Still others were left alone when their parents died of AIDS.

Many of these frightened children end up in refugee camps — alone, cold, sick, and hungry. Conditions in the refugee camps are desperate with little food or health care.

"We cannot leave these orphaned children to fend for themselves. World Children’s Fund will send food, medical supplies, and other materials to help the starving children of Southern Sudan," Dr. Lam said.

With your generous support, we built a home and feeding center to be a safe place for many of these helpless orphans in Sudan. These children have gone through so much, we must help them in any way we can. Thank you for your compassion.
